life has been realllly good here lately. i have been enjoying my weekends immensely...mostly thanks to a lot of wonderful people.
on another note...i went to a community meeting tonight...the first one Ive been to. It had been postponed from last week because a boy had been shot at the community center where the meetings are held. The meeting was centered around the incident and the police was there and our neighborhood city councilwoman Nancy Nadel. It was one of the most depressing and intense experiences I have ever had. i have never felt so much hurt and anger present in a room. The young man was shot over a dispute during a basketball game at the center, a supposedly safe haven from the streets. it was incredibly sad.
